I have worked as a senior caregiver for over 20 years. I began my career as a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) where I provided compassionate and dignified care to patients on Hospice. In addition to assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing and grooming, I also provided companionship and emotional support to the patients and their family members. After 15 years of working in the field of Palliative Care, I began working as an in-home caregiver for an individual family, assisting with tasks and chores such as transporting and accompanying to doctor's appointments, grocery shopping, meal preparation, house cleaning, as well as assisting with personal ADLs . Getting to genuinely know and care for the people I serve is the best part of my job. I feel so honored to bring a smile to someone's face, listen to their life stories, and be a part of their unique journey.
