About Johnpaul

I hold both a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Mathematics and have experience teaching students from 9th grade through college level. I have taught many mathematical subjects, including SAT test prep. I'm an experienced educator passionate about helping students build confidence and understand what they're learning. My approach is patient, encouraging, and tailored to each student's needs and learning style. I believe tutoring should be more than finding the right answer. My goal is to help students understand the why behind the material so they can approach problems independently and with confidence. I use real-world examples and creative approaches to make challenging concepts easier to understand. I want students to feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and learning at their own pace. Ultimately, I want them to reach the point where they can teach the concept back to me, because explaining something clearly is one of the best signs that you understand it.
