About Joe

I have over 5 years of experience working for DHS/DD as a care provider and social inclusion provider. I've mostly worked with children and teens with autism and cerebral palsy, but I also spent years taking care of my father in his late 80s. He recently passed, and I realized my care, compassion, and kindness during the process could be a strength for me to pursue. I'm great with honest, direct communication, and I have experience in other fields (graphic designer, bookbinder, book shop owner), so there's always plenty to talk about. :) I'd describe my personality as kind, honest, and compassionate. I like caring for seniors because I spent years taking care of my father in his last years. I'm looking for a job that allows me to shower kindness on someone. I started caring for seniors when my Dad got prostate cancer. In my spare time, I like to read books, write essays, and go on 3-5 mile walks. My skills include social inclusion, life skills, and companionship.
