I have over 20yrs of experience taking care of the elderly with Alzheimer's disease. 3yrs experience as a medical assistant. I was 18yrs old when I became a caregiver when my grandmother was placed into an assisted living due to having Alzheimer and could no longer care for herself. I wanted to be closer to my grandmother & take care of her. She was the reason I became a caregiver & got a job where she resided at. Once I became a caregiver, it became my passion for work. Just to be able to be there & help others means everything to me & knowing that I can make even a little bit of a difference for someone or just to put a smile on their face means everything to me. Jodie worked a day shift from 8am - 2pm with my two elderly parents from 8/18 thru 5/20. We needed to cut hours in an effort to save money and keep them in their home. Jodie is a very caring and compassionate person. She helped with all aspects of caring for two elderly parents. We wish Jodie all the best going forward.
