About Joanna

With 10 years of experience, I'm dedicated to helping students unlock their potential through personalized support. I am currently in a Masters of Teaching: Elementary Education program. I strive to create engaging learning environments where confidence flourishes. I assess learning styles by listening and observing, encouraging open communication, and including regular parental check-ins. I keep students motivated by connecting challenging topics to their interests and breaking down problems into manageable steps. Communication is key, building trust and collaboration between student, parent, and me. Witnessing those "aha!" moments and seeing confidence grow are the most rewarding aspects of my work. I have CPR training and First Aid certifications. I tutor in Math, English, Science, Test Preparation, Sports & Fitness, Study Skills, and History for elementary and middle school students. I tutor online, at libraries, community centers, coffee shops, and teachers' homes.
