With over 25 years of experience, including raising my own three kids who are now young adults, I'm passionate about engaging children in activities and I truly enjoy spending time with kids, especially the younger ones. Whether it's playing with a ball, going to the park, or doing creative activities at home like crafts, puzzles, reading, play-dough, pretend play, cooking, baking, or even skiing together, I find it incredibly rewarding. Kids light up when I dedicate time and attention to them, and I love the joy that comes from those moments.
 In addition to playing and keeping kids entertained, I can assist with light housekeeping, organizing, preparing healthy meals..
I'm happy to help for a few days, a week, or even a month. However, I'm not a good fit for a long-term nanny position, as I love to travel.

Joanna was fantastic with our fifteen month old when we needed last-minute childcare. She brought age-appropriate books and toys with her. I felt really comfortable with her and would recommend her highly.

Joanna, in my opinion, is the best nanny in the area. She consistently goes above and beyond for our son. She takes him out to play in various places, from Legoland to a car museum. She encourages him to try new activities, which has had a remarkable positive effect on his self-confidence. I am extremely grateful to have had the chance to meet and know Joanna over time. Unfortunately, we are moving abroad, and I believe Joanna will be sorely missed. We would be lucky to find a nanny who is even half as good as Joanna. 

PS: She is also an amazing baker!

We’ve been working with Joanna for about 3 years now. She’s been both our full time nanny and occasional babysitter over that time. And without a doubt, she’s as good as it gets. She’s professional, thoughtful, very intentional in her care, and exceptional in dealing with kids and parents alike. Joanna was everything you could want in a caretaker. She was punctual, engaged with the children, noticed the details, and went above and beyond to make sure everyone’s needs were attended to. Plus she cleaned up while the kids napped. She even sent some picture updates during the day. I can’t say enough about how wonderful it was to have her watch my kids and I would definitely recommend her to others looking for help during a ski trip!

Joanna is absolutely fantastic! We hired her to watch our 5-month-old baby for several days while we were on a ski trip, and we couldn't have been happier with our experience.  From the very beginning, Joanna was incredible. She was always punctual, arriving early and fully prepared for each day.  She went above and beyond simply "babysitting," offering help with tasks that were truly appreciated during our vacation.
Beyond her childcare skills, Joanna was a wealth of knowledge about Steamboat.  She acted almost like a concierge for us, offering recommendations and advice that made our trip even better.  She was also incredibly flexible with our schedule, which was a huge help.
What truly sets Joanna apart is her genuine warmth and kindness. She is the sweetest person, and our baby took to her immediately.  It felt like having a member of our family care for our little one.  We felt completely comfortable leaving our most precious possession in her capable hands.
We 100% plan to hire Joanna again when we return to Steamboat next year.  She is simply the best, and we highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy, caring, and knowledgeable babysitter.

We had the pleasure of having Joanna watch our 6-year-old son during our trip to Colorado, and she was absolutely wonderful! From the moment she arrived, she was warm, kind, and incredibly engaging. She came prepared with a variety of toys and activities, which kept my son entertained and happy the entire time. It was clear she genuinely enjoys spending time with kids, and her patience and creativity made such a difference. I felt completely at ease knowing my son was in great hands. Joanna watched our two toddlers and did a fantastic job! She brought two full bags of toys and books that kept them entertained. She also fed them and put them to bed. We will definitely reach out to Joanna next time we’re in Steamboat!

Joanna was fantastic! She kept them busy with toys and outside playing in the snow with no screen time :) She arrived early in a snowstorm….so happy to have someone to call next time we are in town! 

Joanna was wonderful! Both boys had so much fun playing with her! She brought a bunch of trucks and puzzles they had a blast playing with! The next morning my oldest was still talking about how much fun he had! I would definitely recommend Joanna!

Joanna was amazing! She took care of our four kids with no issues ranging from 5 to 3 months. She brought age appropriate over toys everyday for the kids to play with. Couldn’t say enough wonderful things about her. She made our trip! 

Joanna was amazing, she watched our 4 kids (all under 4) for part of the day while we went skiing. She was right on time and brought bags of activities, toys, crafts. We felt so safe leaving our kids with her and the kids didn’t even miss us while we were gone! If she is available, you should book her!

Joanna was nothing short of wonderful with our two kids. She watched both of them (4.5yrs and 2yrs) for a couple of date nights as well as watched our 2yr old one day while the rest of us skied. She brought books, puzzles, play-doh, and other activities that kept them consistently busy and entertained. She took our daughter to storytime at the library and managed to get her to take a 3hr nap, which we can’t seem to do ourselves. She sent photos and communicated with us throughout the day. A huge comfort factor for me. She was also very flexible when our plans changed one evening. Both kids said how sad they were when she left. We hope to have Joanna with us again on our next trip to Steamboat! 

We feel so lucky to have connnected with Joanna.  She is fantastic! 

Joanna is awesome! I would definitely hire her again. She kept our 18 month old while we hit the slopes. She brought lots of toys for him to play with and sent pictures and videos throughout the day. Her communication is amazing and I hope to have her with our family again in the future!

Joanna was so incredible with our two girls (2 months and 2 years). She came every day with new toys and activities for our toddler and made leaving her all day a lot easier with her nurturing nature. She was also so great with our infant and made sure she got fed well, slept good and gave her lots of cuddles. We can’t wait to use Joanna again on future trips to steamboat. I’d recommend to anyone with young kids !
