My name is Joanna (Jojo). I have a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. I am a career teacher/nanny of 10 years and am interested in being a full time nanny to another family when my current position ends at the end of December. I am also trained in CPR and have worked with children with special needs. I love to do process art with children using different materials. I sing songs often and loudly. I love building towers, train tracks, and doing puzzles. I could read children's books all day. I also love to use imaginative/pretend play as an opportunity for social-emotional growth. I love to create sensory bins and set up simple science experiments.

Our family loves Jojo. She has been a consistent presence in our lives for almost 3 years. She has been so thoughtful in her approach to caregiving with our two young girls. She is very educationally focused and takes them to the library at least weekly for a new round of books (my girls love this tradition and have read literally hundreds of books under her guidance). She also has researched different programs, such as music classes, that played to their interests and were a beautiful creative outlet. She loves to take the kids out of the house to be active on the playground or to experience the zoo or other local attractions. One of Jojo’s strengths is her emotional intelligence and her approach to creating a secure and safe environment for kids to express themselves. Both of our girls excel in language and naming their feelings and I know this is in part due to Jojo’s kind, patient approach with them. We are only parting ways with Jojo due to a change in family circumstances. I know she will make another family very happy but we will miss her and still hope to see her often for play dates or babysitting engagements.
