About Joann

This is my review of JoAnn A. who has been a companion and driver for my 89 year old mother in New Hampshire. My mother has mild dementia, no longer drives, and lives alone, while I reside in Florida. Finding someone trustworthy, compassionate, and dependable to help her maintain independence and social connection was of utmost importance to me. I found JoAnn through Care.com and knew from our very first Zoom conversation that she was the right fit. Over the past several months, JoAnn has provided transportation for my mother to her Zumba classes, grocery shopping, church, and other local errands. More importantly, she has been a kind and steady companion who is someone my mother looks forward to seeing and spending time with. JoAnn’s personal experience caring for her own mother with dementia gives her a deep understanding of the challenges and sensitivities involved. She approaches my mother with remarkable patience, compassion, and genuine warmth. Her reliability and professionalism have given me tremendous peace of mind, knowing that my mother is safe, cared for, and engaged in her community once again.
