About Jillian

Hello! I hold a bachelors degree in Civil Engineering and graduated from Stony Brook University. I also hold a masters degree focused on the structural analysis of historic buildings. I have been practicing engineering for almost five years and have developed a deep desire to re-route my career working with students to strengthen their math, reading, and writing skills. In college, I worked with middle school girls who were a part of our WISE program to teach them different mathematical concepts and build their confidence in the field. I was also well adept at mentoring incoming employees in the office on their math and writing skills until they felt comfortable designing and reporting independently. I am patient, dedicated, and eager to help students not only grow in their academics, but also in their confidence along the way. I hope to work with students who share that same eagerness to learn and I know they will be successful!
