About Jillian

Hello! I hold a bachelors degree in Civil Engineering and graduated from Stony Brook University. I have been practicing engineering for almost five years and have developed a deep desire to re-route my career working with students and children. Whether we are working to strengthen their math, reading, and writing skills or spending time engaging in crafts and games, I am always attentive, patient, and encouraging. I have tutoring experience from when I was in college. During my time there, I worked with middle school girls who were a part of our WISE program to teach them different mathematical concepts and build their confidence in the field. I was also well adept at mentoring incoming employees in the office on their math and writing skills. I have also babysat before for children from ages 1-6. I would love to assist with homework, prepare after school snacks, and create a safe environment for them. I am a part of your family's team and will respect all house rules and wants.
