Here's what I think makes me uniquely great for your child/ren and family: I love the feeling of being excited about learning something new that I'm very interested in. I get that same feeling vicariously as a nanny since learning new and interesting things is basically what childhood is all about. Whether working with infants, toddlers, preschoolers or school-agers (I've done a lot of all of the above), every child is working on figuring out things that are important to them. It gives me enormous satisfaction to be able to assist in that process because I know how exciting, frustrating, infuriating, amusing, funny and eventually satisfying the process can be. For babies this could be learning to sit up, crawl or walk and for school aged kids it could be a gazillion different interests and struggles. Whether it's a physical, emotional, academic, social or even spiritual endeavor, everything feels easier when someone is on your side for it all. That's my primary goal as a nanny.
We hired Jessie to care for our 5 month old son as I was returning back to work. Mamas returning to work often struggle with leaving their baby, but truthfully this was the easiest part for me knowing my son was in the good, caring, gentle, joyful, and attentive hands of Jessie. Jessie speaks with sweetness and gentleness to my son and is always laughing with him. She is extremely attentive to his needs and development, tracking things in detail to share with us. She is wonderful!
