About Jessica

Hello! I'm Jessica, a dedicated educator with 30 years nurturing kids and families through growth and transitions. As an au pair in France (1994-95), I dove into host family life--managing routines, playful activities, and cultural escapades, all while building strong ties in French. Back home, I chaired Cub Scouts for 4 years, crafting team adventures that fueled curiosity in young boys. Last year, I hosted an EF exchange student in Bend, OR (2022-23), creating a warm haven for shared stories, meals, and discovery. As a 6th-grade Language Arts teacher at Warm Springs K-8 Academy (2024-25), I designed lessons that inspire creativity and confidence. With an Oregon Preliminary Teaching License (exp. June 2026; endorsements: ELA, Social Studies, ESOL) and MAT from Oregon State (exp. 2026), I'm ready for bilingual tutoring, homework aid, or enriching childcare. I've supported diverse students--including military families--with academics and VA resources, emphasizing equity and empathy.
