About Avery

Hi! My name is Avery and I am 20 years old. I'm currently a student at Oregon State University, where I am majoring in Elementary Education and minoring in Human Development and Family Sciences. I will be a junior this fall, and working with children has always been one of my biggest passions in my life. I have over 6 years of experience caring for children ranging from ages 1-12. In addition to babysitting I worked at the Cottage Daycare for 2 summers and have experience as a preschool teacher which has given me valuable experience supporting children's learning, development, and daily routines. My coursework and hands on experience have taught me how to create engaging, age-appropriate activities that encourage creativity, curiosity and confidence.
