About Jessica

I began babysitting younger cousins at age 13 and eventually started helping neighbors and family friends. In college, I became very close to a family in my neighborhood and spent a couple of days a week watching their son (then 4) and twin daughters (then 2). When I graduated college, I was the full-time nanny for a family with 2-year-old twins and I held that position for a year until they moved out of state. We spent most of our day at the park, library, aquarium, or children's museums and were always busy and active. One of the children was non-verbal and later diagnosed with autism. After the twins moved, I worked full time for a family with a 3-year-old son and a 6-month-old son for several months before starting my career in graphic design. Though I stopped professionally working with children 10 years ago, I routinely watch my nieces (now 5 and 3) for up to a week at a time when their parents are on work trips and I regularly babysit the children of my friends and family.
