About Jessica

Hello! My name is Jessica and I am the lead teacher and coordinator at Nest LA, an early care and education program for refugee children between the ages of 1 and 10. As a lead teacher, I am responsible for creating safe, child-centered, and developmentally appropriate learning environments that encourage self-expression, collaboration, problem-solving, and creativity. I graduated from UCLA in 2023 with a major in Psychology and a double minor in Applied Developmental Psychology and Global Health. As a college student, I worked at UCLA Early Care and Education, Fernald Center where I provided care to infants and toddlers. I also worked as a nanny to two toddler girls and volunteered at the Refugee Children Center weekly. I am CPR and First Aid certified for both infants and adults. Unfortunately, I am allergic to cats and cannot work in a home with cats.
