I have quite a few experiences in working with kids and adults with special needs. When I was little, I had a family member who was younger than me, who had autism and epilepsy. I played with her and spent a good quality of one on one. I also knew a friend, whose sister had down syndrome, and I am familiar with that. I do work as a special ed. instructional aide, and I mostly work with elementary kids who are mild/moderate. I am very passionate about working with special needs and I plan to go to grad school to be a Special Ed. teacher. I am patient, kind, and work well with kids and adults with special needs, and I never had bad experience when working with them.
