About Jessica

I'm a mom of a near 2-year-old. I'd describe my personality as goofy, artistic, and earthy! I like working with kids because I love watching every little new thing they learn day to day. They're so sweet and funny and innocent even when they're causing a ruckus! I'm looking for a job that focuses on screen-free, play-based childhood and is open to including my own toddler in my regular shifts. In my spare time, I like to tend to my garden, grow food (I was an urban farming apprentice last year!), read and listen to books, drink coffee & matcha, and play cozy video games. And obviously I adore hanging out with my family and friends, too. One thing you should know about me is I'm a goofy mom, but I'm very serious about keeping screens away from kids. Kids are meant to be discovering the world around them through play as they develop, and I want to help facilitate that. My skills include redirection, cooking healthy meals with whole foods, and entertaining kids without screens.
