About Jessica

Certified former high school math teacher and great lover of languages, recently teaching social studies, creative writing, and drama classes at a local school. I've worked with kids and adults of all ages but specialize in ages 8 to 22. I have much experience working w/high-functioning ASD, ADHD, Gifted, and Magnet students. I like to help students put the "I can" back in learning. Math from multiplication through Calculus, English (all levels), Spanish, GED/SAT/ACT test prep, and college paper review are my specialties, but I tutor all subjects. My approach to teaching is dynamic, needs-based, and Socratic. A bit about me: For fun I play logic games like Rubik's cubes, and board games of all kinds, and I practice multiple foreign languages. I have been an educator and organizer of social events for home school students, and I have taught STEM classes at Santa Fe College spring break and summer camps for kids. I work from my resource library in NW Gainesville (currently remote ONLY).
