I have experience working with physically and mentally disabled children and adults in a residential setting. I have wheelchair, hoyer lift, bathing, feeding, hospital beds, bed rails, routine meds, crushed meds and supplements, and adult and child incontinence changing depends experience. I have worked with non verbal autism also and am very familiar with it. I am dependable and will show up on time every time I am scheduled and have a strong work ethic. I am 51 and have a grown daughter of my own. She isn't special needs but I worked 6 years in group homes where all 3 residents were and one of the ladies was total assist and more often than not would just scream or cry the entire shift. If you just need a day to run errands or just to relax I am available for respite care as needed. I understand how hard being a caregiver day in and day out for someone with special needs can be.
