About Jernyia

Hello! My name is Jer'Nyia, but you can call me Nyia. I'm 18 and a first-year full-time student at Salem State University. I've worked with kids since high school, and caring for them is one of my greatest joys. I grew up in foster care from age 5, which shaped my passion for supporting children. I'm trauma-informed, skilled at helping kids identify emotions, and certified in First Aid and CPR. While I haven't formally babysat, I have three years of summer camp experience and a year of teaching preschool. I connect easily with children, including those with challenging behaviors, and I bring an outgoing, fun, and playful energy to my care. I can cook simple meals, have a driver's license (but no car), and my availability is flexible around my college schedule.
