About Jennifer

Hi! I'm Jen and I hope to help families in the Des Moines area. My full time job is as a chemist down at College in Pella. I have a degree in biology and a minor in theater. I have a wide variety of interests including English (I'm a reader and a writer) and math. I'd describe my personality as caring, thoughtful, and fun. I'm looking for jobs that connect me with awesome families! I'm a big fan of kids of all ages. I like tutoring because knowledge is something that can't be taken away. I also love that moment when the material clicks into place. I started tutoring when I was in high school and have continued as I've been an adult. One thing you should know about me is I'm very passionate. My skills include patience, time management, active listening, and problem solving. In my spare time, I like to cook, read, play with my cats, and be in nature.
