About Jennifer

For the past 15 years, I've been helping students unlock their full potential. I hold a graduate degree and am a certified teacher for NYC Public schools where I work as a special educator and literacy teacher. I have taught history, ELA, reading, and study skills throughout my career working with high school students. I create engaging, supportive, and patient learning environments. By actively listening and observing, I adapt my teaching methods to each student's unique learning style. I keep students motivated by connecting challenging topics to their interests and breaking down complex problems. Communication is essential; I provide regular updates to parents and encourage open dialogue. I tutor English, test preparation, art, special education, study skills, and history at the middle and high school levels. I willing to tutor at a variety of locations. Seeing a student's confidence grow is the most rewarding part of tutoring, and I would love to help you achieve your goals!
