About Jennifer

I'd describe my personality as friendly, patient, flexible, caring, and hard-working. I like tutoring because I love helping students to develop their literacy skills and build their self-confidence. I'm looking for a job that I am able to utilize my 31 years of experience as an elementary educator, both as a Reading Interventionist and as a classroom teacher, to help support students with their literacy skills. I started tutoring when I obtained my M. Ed. in Reading and wanted to help more students. In my spare time, I like to listen to music, exercise, read, write, and spend time with family and friends. One thing you should know about me is I am an experienced, responsible, and dedicated educator. My skills include helping students to develop their foundational reading skills, writing skills, and comprehension and fluency strategies. I am also Dyslexia trained and have my Science of Teaching Reading Certification.
