About Jennifer

I was a teacher for 12 years, even student teaching abroad, before becoming a stay at home mom of 3 children the last 23 years. I hold a degree in Education with a concentration in Early Childhood Development, with graduate-level coursework. I've also been a day camp director at Mountain Kids in Ft Collins. My teaching certificate allowed me classroom experience in K, 1, 2, 3 and even middle school. Classroom management was my strength at all levels , while teaching kids to read at the K/1 level was my passion. Home making has been my joy. I'm a multitasker extraordinaire and am happy to assist with cooking, home organization and carpooling. With mutual respect I find household rules easy to enforce . I value open communication with parents & can adapt to your preferred method. My approach to both parenting & teaching is that children learn by doing. Play is indeed the work of children, so we stay active. In my care, your children are treated as if they were my own.
