About Jennifer

I'd describe my personality as warm, communicative, adaptable. I like working with kids because I like being present with them. They bring out my playfulness and loving nature. Consistency & clear expectations with people who I can trust is important for a job I take on. I grew up helping my grandmother and aunt take care of babies. Very comfortable with infants and children of all ages. My first job as a nanny was in my early 20's. I cared for a special needs toddler full time and assisted w/ household management. Mother of 2, who are now teens and I am currently a part-time nanny for a local family in Pagosa. In my spare time; I teach art classes, soak in hotsprings, hike, take care of my own household, chickens, dogs, and gardens. Taking care of babies and small children is a joy to me. It gives me purpose and focus to slow down and just be with them. My skills include 1. Consistent routines without rigidity. 2. Literacy and art 3. Teaching home skills to sm children.
