About Jenna

I started working with kids basically my whole life! My father is 1/18 children so I have nearly 60 cousins and grew up taking care of them when needed. I had my first babysitting job in highschool & have worked with children in various capacities all through my undergraduate studies. I was a program coordinator for Special Olympics Florida and I also was a lead coordinator for an afterschool program partnered with the UF and ACPS. I taught children 2nd-5th grade health education afterschool and facilitated outside activities, with about 20 children at a time. One of the top skills I have gained in my experience with kids is definitely being able to diffuse situations. Being able to get a worked-up or overwhelmed kid to calm down before expressing their emotions and without invalidating them, has really helped me navigate some issues!
