About Jenin

Hey families, Here's a bit about me: I've been tutoring for over 3 years in subjects such as English, math, and science. I've worked with students on homework help, test prep, and have created lesson plans to supplement classroom learning. All of my students have shown significant improvement not only in grades but also in ability and knowledge. I'm pursuing a degree in linguistics and education which has provided me with the formal tools and knowledge to understand how children learn and what teaching approaches are most effective for each unique child. I'm also able to break down complex concepts into manageable pieces making learning easier. Some of my other experience working with kids includes teaching swim lessons (2 years) and babysitting/ nannying (2 years). Both of these career opportunities have allowed me to not only refine my teaching skills but also practice building meaningful bonds with children that helps to make learning enjoyable.
