I have over 10 years of experiences working with children with special needs in the home and in the classroom. I have been a special education teacher for 5 years. During my experiences, I have worked with kids who have a wide variety of needs including behavioral, social, physical, and academic challenges. I am trained in Non-Violent Crisis Prevention Intervention. I have a lot of experiences with creating schedules and reward systems as a way to aide with behavior management. I believe in positive praise and focusing on a child's strengths. I am very passionate about helping children gain pride in themselves by allowing and teaching them to be as independent as possible.
