I am currently a special education teacher and have experience with teaching students on and below level. I have taught content ranging from early childhood to 5th grade. I hold current teaching and SpED, CPR, and CPI/NCI certifications. As someone who is neurodivergent, I went into teaching specifically to help kids like me who had a harder time learning from "normal" methods and explanations. I love finding the method that "clicks" for each student. Subject-wise, I have a lot of knowledge on teaching early reading skills, and am a huge advocate for phonics. But my heart lies in math, where I am comfortable tutoring up to early college levels provided I can preview the content beforehand.
