About Jazea

Empowering students to reach their full potential is at the heart of my teaching practice. With many years of experience and now entering into a Teaching Assistant position at the UW, I specialize in helping students from elementary through high school master subjects ranging from science and history to test preparation. I believe our natural environment is our wisest mentor, so I frequently use real-world examples to turn abstract concepts into memorable, applicable knowledge. I assess your unique learning style by observing how you interact with new material, then adapt my methods--whether through visual aids, hands-on activities, or interactive discussions--to suit your needs. I break complex problems into manageable steps to build your confidence and momentum. Clear communication is my foundation for building a supportive, collaborative partnership with both you and your family. I truly cherish those "aha!" moments when a difficult concept finally clicks.
