About Jaymi

For the past 6 years, I've been career nannying or teaching at a learning center as a lead teacher for children ages 3 months to 30 months. I have also worked with older children, and children with various disabilities including ASD, ADHD, ODD, and deafness. Prior to childcare, I spent time working as a house manager for disabled adults, a wilderness therapy guide, an intern for the department of family and children services, and as a restaurant manager. I love this line of work becasue I am passionate about child development and family systems. I love incorporating learning into daily play, and assisting children in exploring their own interests. While I don't have official Montessori training, I have done my own exploration of Montesorri practices and prefer to align my caregiver methods closely with them. I would love to work for a family who appreciates an emphasis on early introductions to emotional well-being and who prioritizes respecting children like we would adults.
