About Jay

Hi, my name is Jay and I am a freshman at Drew University. I am an environmental science major and a photography minor. I have worked with kids from infancy to school ages for two years through volunteer work at a daycare in my town and one year professionally at the same institution. I have two younger siblings, a 4-year-old and an 8-year-old who I babysat regularly thought their childhood. I'd describe my personality as upbeat, hardworking, and as my siblings would say "silly." I like working with kids because I enjoy the wide range of personalities kids have and their endless creativity. I enjoy encouraging their creativity while promoting a safe and healthy environment. In my spare time, I like to engage in the various creative hobbies that I have taken up over the years. I love to do photography, painting, baking, and cake and cookie decorating. I have also done fencing competitively for 5 years.
