About Jaxsen

Hi! My name is Jaxsen, and I have a bachelor's degree in physics from UC Santa Cruz. I am currently taking science courses as I prepare for medical school, so I understand what it is like to work through challenging material. I am especially comfortable helping with math, physics, chemistry, biology, and general homework support. My goal as a tutor is to help students feel less intimidated by difficult subjects. I try to explain concepts in a patient, clear, and encouraging way, and I believe mistakes are an important part of learning. I want students to not only get the right answer, but also understand why the answer makes sense. I am also a nationally registered EMT and CPR/BLS trained, so I take responsibility and safety seriously. I would describe myself as thoughtful, honest, patient, and hardworking. My hope is to help students build confidence, improve their study habits, and feel more capable in school.
