About Jax

Hi! My name is Jax, and I'm a junior at the University of Connecticut with several years of experience caring for children. I grew up surrounded by younger cousins, which sparked my love for working with kids and helped me develop patience, responsibility, and strong caregiving skills. I've worked at a camp for children with medical needs for 2 years and at an afterschool program for 4 years, where I helped with homework, games, outdoor play, and daily supervision while making sure kids felt supported and included. I enjoy staying active and engaged with kids and building positive, trusting relationships with them. I'm also a certified EMT, so safety and preparedness are always my top priorities. I'm patient, reliable, and committed to creating a safe, positive environment where children can feel comfortable and confident. I'd describe my personality as playful, empathetic and hardworking. In my spare time, I like to travel, hangout with friends, workout and go out to eat.
