I've been around elderly people all my life and I find them to be a joy. I started caring for my grandma when she was diagnosed with colon cancer. I took her to doctors appointments, ran errands, fixed her meal, etc.. I later went into pharmacy technician because my other grandma took a lot of medicine and she said sick so I wanted to better understand what she was taking. I found out that's not what I wanted to do. 3 years prior to me getting laid off I have been wanting to do home health. So I look at being laid off as an opportunity to pursue home health. So I went back to school for CNA and finish the program now waiting to take my test to become certified. In August I will be going back to school for business to open an adult day care.
