About Janna

Hi, my name is J'Anna. I'm a college student studying Psychology and Social Work, and I'm passionate about working with children and supporting their development. I have experience babysitting for my advisor's children, including caring for her neurodivergent son since he was 11, as well as her 9-year-old daughter. I've also cared for a newborn through my church for about 6 months, which helped me build patience and confidence with younger children. Through my work with the Support Center for Child Advocates, I've worked with toddlers and supported children in different situations. At my school counseling center (CAPS), I've worked with teens and young adults, helping manage crises and support strong emotions. As a Resident Assistant, I've also gained experience in responsibility, communication, and creating a safe environment. I'm dependable, attentive, and genuinely enjoy creating a safe, supportive, and engaging space for children of all ages.
