I'm a certified ESL instructor with over 4 years of experience teaching English in ESL classrooms and more than 9 years of teaching experience, both overseas and States-side to a wide range of ages from 6 months old to 85 years. I have some experience with potty training, and am knowledgeable about common food and plant allergies, as well as how to handle any incidents with stomach poisoning and issues of sanitation. I have successfully completed a course regarding child safety via the University of Portland and am willing to become CPR certified. My educational background is in Cross-Cultural Studies, TESOL, and Spanish. I graduated with honors from Simpson University in 2012.

Janis has been a true blessing for our family, she cared for our son for the past 10-months while my husband and I worked full-time. I recently made the decision to become a stay at home mom and we are going to miss her so much. Janis has a true gift with children of all ages! Each day, she was able to meet our son where he was at, whether he was happy and full of energy or grumpy and challenging - she always knew what to do. Janis has a youthful spirit and is not afraid to be silly and play. She took my son on so many great adventures, always making sure to get him fresh air and/or provide plenty of opportunities to move. Janis has played a crucial role in getting our son ready for preschool - teaching him shapes, colors, numbers, letters, animals, and so many social skills. She also put great thought into making his meals nutritious and she always kept our house clean and tidy. Our son absolutely loves Janis and I know your family will too!
