About Janet

Hi families! I'm Janet, an experienced childcare provider with over 10 years of involvement and 5+ years of paid experience. I hold a Psychology degree from Boston University, studied child development, and am CPR and First Aid certified with early childcare licensing in Massachusetts. I've worked as an Assistant Teacher , supported a summer educational program, and babysat children from infancy through pre-teens. I also have tutoring experience, weaving learning into play and helping with homework. Parents describe me as patient, nurturing, and engaging. I create a safe, fun environment while guiding kids through both exciting and overstimulating moments. Just as importantly, I value strong communication with parents and see childcare as a true partnership. I'm available for occasional evening and weekend babysitting in Manhattan, with flexibility for nearby areas if travel is considered.
