About Cindy Y

I'm a warm, patient and energetic caregiver with 20 years of professional childcare experience, from infants through teens. My background includes daycare, long-term nannying, live-in care, travel and caring for multiple children of different ages. I'm bilingual in English and Spanish, speak basic French, and I'm a writer, artist, educator and certified hiking guide. I love getting kids outdoors, reading (I do all the voices!), crafts, storytelling, music and dance. While attending Rutgers University, I also became a go-to babysitter for professors and their families. I bring lots of auntie energy to childcare: nurturing and protective, but also playful, creative and active. I keep parents updated with texts, photos and milestones and respect each family's routines and parenting style. I'm CPR and First Aid certified, have my own car and a clean driving record, and have excellent references from families I've worked with over the years.
