About Janet

An older child in a family of 10, I've been a caregiver since I was old enough to carry a baby. Babysat through high school and college, then as my siblings started families, I became the go-to aunt to watch nieces and nephews so the parents could get away. I'm first aid and CPR trained, a good cook and skilled at kid friendly meals. I enjoy reading to children, doing art projects, keeping their imaginations active. I love babies and will rock and carry a crying baby as long as it takes them to settle. I also like working with older school kids, I enjoy tutoring, homework help, keeping it fun. I'm no longer taking toddlers through about 6, as I don't feel confident that I can outrun them. I'm fully mobile, and active, but I no longer hop to my feet as quickly as watching toddler can demand.
