3yrs caregiving training & experience w/ Humboldt and Pacific Caregivers and 5 yrs caregiving as a 'private' caregiver. 3yrs nursing @ HSU, Arcata & Redwood Hospital & 2 yrs PT Aide for Pacific Physical Therapy. Cared for my Grandmother and my Alzheimer's Mother. I'm experienced w/Hoyer lift, wheel chair, hospital bed and w/transfers of ambulatory, chair bound & bed bound clients from/to auto, chair & bed, w/personal care: toileting, bed baths, oral care & dressing. I am a good cook w/particular attention to diet and client's ability to chew/swallow. Experienced in supervising clients to be sure they administer their medication and supplements and that they walk/exercise as needed. I enjoy the companionship and engaging w/clients in activities of interest for them. I like to reminisce with clients about their past if it pleases them. I'd describe my personality as friendly. I like caring for seniors because they are 'seasoned'. I'm looking for a job that is local and helps others.
