About Janet

My lady Sadie was a character. She was my best friend even though she had the latest stage Alzheimer's. We lived together and I cared 9 months for her until she passed on this past April. I truly felt like a boat drifting on a lake with no oar. I had to do absolutely everything for her. We were companions 24/7 and I loved her and miss her and truly need another Sadie. My own Mother died in 2010 and I had cared for her dystonia and cancer. Sadie took her place. I briefly cared for the mentally disturbed at a nursing home while attending Calgary University. I'm familiar with giving medications, bathing, dressing, feeding, transportation, errands and creative fun such as painting, planting herbs, nature walks, flash cards, board games and reminiscing about her good old days regularly. Alzheimer's is no match for me! I'm stronger and smarter than that disease and it's pretty darn smart.
