I cared for both of my parents until they passed away. My Mom was 90 and my Dad was 96. In 2017 I started as a companion to a 95-year-old woman. I spent two years with her and as she declined, I took on more responsibility. I took her blood pressure, managed her medication, made her meals, took her to doctor, hair appointments, and was holding her hand when she passed away. I then helped care for a 91-year-old woman in memory care. I took her to doctor appointments, lunches, church, hair appointments, did her laundry, showered her and took her to visit family. I then worked for a woman in Fallbrook for 5 years. My duties were transportation to doctor appointments, house cleaning, laundry, companionship, help with mobility. Recently I worked for a couple in their 80's for two hours in the morning. She has dementia and he is in a wheel chair with heart issues. I bathe her, get her dressed, do laundry, fix meals and clean. Most people find me kind, patient and compassionate.
