About Janet

I have worked in health care for over 20 years as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant working with older adults in the rehabilitation setting. I am a Certified Dementia Care Practitioner and Certified Montessori Dementia Care Professional which has provided me with skills in managing dementia and developing strategies for caregivers and families. I have worked as a caregiver for the past 7 years in homes and facilities caring for individuals. I have experience with medication management, bathing, personal care, wound care, meal preparation and light housekeeping. My approach is to provide dignity and respect to the individual with through thoughtful activities, personal care, exercise, communication and finding joy and meaning to the day. I have also been a licensed Certified Nursing Assistant and I hold a QMAP- Qualified Medication Administration Personnel through the state of Colorado. I prefer 3-6 hours a day and open to occasional respite care.
