Originally being a teacher was not my plan, but after working in the field I couldn't help but change my mind. Right now I am a student at the Community College of Baltimore County studying Elementary Education. After I graduate with my associates degree, I plan to transfer to a 4-year university and finish with my bachelor's degree. In terms of work experience, I was as a reading tutor specifically for students in grades 1 through 8. Additionally, I have worked at several preschools and currently serve as a volunteer for Baltimore County Public Schools. A huge part of why I decided to become a teacher was because of my love for children. Even though it's a bit cliche, I do believe that every child deserves to have someone who deeply cares for them and can support their needs. Hopefully, I can be that person for the kids I work with.
