I have some experience being around people with autism, nothing professional, though. I have had to test my mother's and my own blood sugar, and I gave my mother insulin shots with an insulin pen. I can drive students home from school, and sit with them until a parent comes home. I can either try to engage them, or not, depending on the individual.
