About Jamie

Life-long learning is an important personal value of mine. I always wanted to be in the field of education, but choose instead to engage with students in a part-time capacity on the side. As an organizational consultant, I love helping people achieve their highest aspirations while fostering positive human connection. With my high school aged students this means I try to work in confidence-building and finding the right balance of determination and self-acceptance. Sprinkle in some humor and a bit of awkwardness, and we generally form solid mentor-mentee relationships. I have been working with kids of all ages for as long as I can remember, and have been in academic tutoring for nearly 10 years now. My main area of focus is high school math and science tutoring. I can also assist with English and some foreign language--preferably Spanish.
