I have a Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology and have taught toddler-elementary age kids. I have cared for newborns, babies and toddlers in their homes and developed bonds with area families whose kids I have been with from infancy-school age. I am inspired by connecting with children and exploring their interests. Kids I care for have fun and learn. We will engage in pretend play, arts and crafts, reading books and storytelling. I love going for walks and running around outside. Getting messy is fine and I encourage kids to clean up and learn to take care of their things. I am nurturing and playful. I am experienced with positive behavior management and respectful of children as individuals. Communication with family members regarding the children is vital to having a relationship that works. I am very health and safety conscious. I am CPR and First Aid certified. I love animals, cooking, music and nature. I am the lucky mom of a funny, smart and loving young man.

Jamie is an experienced nanny/babysitter with a genuine warmth and enthusiasm for little ones. We were visiting Asheville for just a few nights and she was easy to communicate with, punctual, and great with our baby girl!

Jamie was incredibly helpful caring for our newborn. She quickly developed a great relationship with him and helped guide us when we felt lost as new parents.  She is an authentically caring individual who is quick to respond, on time, and flexible when our schedules were chaotic!

We love having Jamie for our daughter. As a first time mom, I was incredibly nervous leaving my daughter and also returning to work full time. Jamie was so incredibly thoughtful, cared for our daughter like her own and gave frequent updates throughout the day. We highly recommend Jamie to any parents - she is a gem and we welcome the opportunity to share more about our experience. 

Jamie was our nanny for our energetic toddler, Z, from February through the end of September, and I cannot say enough good things about her. From the very beginning, Jamie&#39;s interactions with Z were incredible. Her engagement and care played a significant role in Z development, and we believe that thanks to Jamie, he was consistently ahead in meeting his milestones.

Jamie planned thoughtful activities that evolved as Z grew, fostering his curiosity and helping him thrive during a critical time in his toddlerhood. But Jamie wasn&#39;t just a caregiver to Z—she became an important part of our family. Her kindness, wisdom, and support were deeply appreciated by both me and my partner.

Although we eventually had to part ways when Z transitioned into a toddler program, we remain deeply grateful to Jamie for her role in Z early years. She made us feel safe, supported, and cared for, allowing me to go to work without worrying about my child’s well-being. Jamie truly showed up in our lives at a pivotal moment, and we’ll always be thankful for that.

Jamie did an amazing job caring for my 11 month old when we were in town to attend a wedding.  My baby felt comfortable with her and she was very conscientious in sticking to his routines to ensure everything went as smooth as possible.  Thank you Jamie! We would absolutely rehire if in town again. :) 

Jamie spent two days with my 11 month old grandson when we were in town for a wedding. She beautifully integrated with our family immediately and made a chaotic couple of days fun and manageable. We wanted the baby to be present for photos and some events but not others and Jamie just handled it all perfectly. She was able to connect with the baby almost immediately. I can’t recommend Jamie highly enough. I wish she lived by us!

Jamie took care of my daughter from when she was 18 months to 2 and a half years old. We had a very positive experience working with Jamie. She’s energetic and creative as well as a great communicator. Her educational background and years of experience made her an easy choice for us!

Jamie is wonderful! She watched my toddler before she started preschool and it was a great year together! Jamie is highly experienced in working with young children and is very empathetic. She brings fun, creative ideas along with her including crafts and outside activities. She listens to the needs of the families she works with and is a good communicator. Any family would be lucky to have her!

Jamie is a fun caretaker you can have 100% confidence in.  She has years of experience and really enjoys children. We first met when she worked at one of AVL's best preschools, and continued a relationship for daytime and evening help.   If she's available, you are lucky!

Jamie is as experienced as advertised. She has cared for our two boys, ages 2 and 6 on several occasions and has been fantastic. The kids are comfortable with her, she communicated well with us before and during, and wouldn't hesitate to hire her again.

We love Jamie! She was with our family for 3 years starting when our youngest was 5 weeks old until she went to preschool at age 3.  Jamie is kind, patient, warm, engaging and truly loves being with kids.  She became like family to us and our kids still love to see her whenever possible even thought they are both in school full time now.

We went to hire Jamie as we loved her profile. She was responsive and we decided to book her as we were traveling with our toddler at the time. We asked her to watch our little boy so my husband and I could have a date night, however after telling us she would and having a conversation over the phone, she changed her mind very quickly.
She all of a sudden had a headache and couldn't watch him. We wouldn't try hiring her again if we were to go back.

Jamie nannied for my now one-year-old daughter three days a week throughout the summer. She was great with her! My daughter enjoyed playing with Jamie, learning from her, and being introduced to new foods. It made it easier to be at work knowing my daughter was being well cared for and enjoying herself with Jamie.

We absolutely LOVE working with Jamie! She is an incredible care taker for our son and is very dependable, open, and honest. She brings so much joy, light, and positive energy into our home. Our son lights up and has a huge smile when she arrives at our home. She makes safety a priority and also jumps into playing and having fun with our son. She is great about helping with light housekeeping tasks (e.g., laundry, dishes, cooking, etc...) while our son is napping. She is a fantastic cook and is helping us explore new foods our son can try as we venture into feeding him solid foods. I can't recommend Jamie enough as a fantastic caregiver. We feel so lucky to be able to work with her!

We absolutely love Jamie and so does our son. She's so active and playful with kids, and respectful of our space while we work from home.

Jamie has been helping part-time with our three kids (10mo, 3yr, 5yr) for the past two years.  She is a wonderful human who is warm, caring, playful, responsible, and a good communicator.  She is basically an ideal caregiver for young children.

Jamie has been absolutely wonderful as a nanny and helping out with our kids.  My wife and I both work and with no family in town to help out with childcare, Jamie has been assisting us for 5 years now.  She genuinely cares for our kids (2-9) and our kids enjoy the time they spend with her.

Jamie jumped right in. The kids had about five different art projects and Lego projects going when she got here, and Jamie just fit right into the fold. I would absolutely hire her again - and will! 

Jamie has been a nanny to my son since he was 4 months old (he's now two). She's  dedicated, enthusiastic, nurturing, and most of all ingenious in the things she comes up with to stimulate and teach him. She's a guide and a friend to him, never gives anything but 100% of her energy and focus to him, and he adores her. People often comment on how advanced his language skills are and I think this is in no small part due to Jamie's guidance. Also worth mentioning: my husband and I both work from home, and in the almost-two years we've had Jamie working here too we've only had pleasant interactions  which I think speaks volumes to her character and flexibility. Can't say enough good things.

Jamie is simply, the best. She has helped us with our family of three boys-ages 5, 2, and 7 months. This is no small task-they require lots of energy and supervision. I am continuously amazed and impressed with her energy, positivity, and absolute desire to work with children. Given this and her extensive background, you would be hard-pressed to find a better caregiver on this site. Our youngest son has health issues and she is the only non-family member that I trust to care for him. Our children beg for her even when she is not here. Stop reading this and hire her already!
