Hi there, I'm Jake and I'm a teacher, writer, editor, and translator looking to tutor students in English, literature, creative writing, history, and social sciences. I hold degrees from Stanford University and Louisiana State University, am a Returned Peace Corps Volunteer as well as a Fulbright Research Alumnus. I have published short stories, academic writing, translations, and comics, and have edited one book with University Press of Mississippi (with one more forthcoming), translated Akhmet Baitursynov's Mosquito, and have a scholarly monograph on the comic character Spawn forthcoming from Rutgers University Press.
