About Jake

I am passionate about helping students build confidence, improve study habits, and achieve their academic goals. My strengths include English, history, writing, study skills, test preparation, and driver's exam preparation. Writing has always been one of my passions. I enjoy writing poetry and have received recognition through scholarship and essay awards for my writing. These experiences have helped me develop strong reading comprehension, writing, critical thinking, and communication skills that I enjoy sharing with students. As someone with ADHD, I understand firsthand that every student learns differently. Throughout my life, I have overcome learning challenges and developed effective strategies for organization, focus, time management, and test-taking success. I believe in creating a patient, supportive, and encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and building confidence.
