Hello, Hola, Malo e Lelei My name is Jacque! I wanted to give you a little background about my experiences as a caregiver! At the heart of my 20 plus years of experience is a deep sense of empathy and compassion. Caregiving has taught me to look beyond immediate behaviors and understand the underlying needs and challenges individuals face, allowing me to build trust and rapport, especially with those who may be resistant or hesitant to engage. Caregiving is often unpredictable. I've developed robust problem-solving abilities and critical thinking to manage challenging situations effectively, such as a client refusing medication or becoming uncooperative. This experience has prepared me to think on my feet and adapt to various situations. I have worked with people from various backgrounds, which reinforced the importance of cultural sensitivity and respect for diversity in providing person-centered care.
